The Theta is specifically designed for heavy use by shot blasters who need to pick up steel shot of all sizes.
The Theta is light and easy to use so you can get the job done faster. This sweeper is so easy to use that it turns an undesirable job into one that no one minds doing. It’s like using a power circular saw versus a handsaw.
The Theta is much lighter than most conventional sweepers because it uses rare earth magnets. It is only 21 pounds, making for less tiring work.
The Theta makes it easy to pick up, clean off and dispose of debris. It uses Bluestreak’s patented Ripwhirl Technology to continuously clean shot off its magnetic drum and deposit the shot into an on board removable debris tray as you push the sweeper.
Productivity is greatly increased due to the elimination of the clean off and the pickup efforts associated with conventional magnets.

Continuous Discharge for 100% Pickup Strength!
The magnetic sweeper always has full pick up strength because the shot is continuously removed from the magnet. Using Ripwhirl Technology the shot is continuously cleaned off the magnetic drum and deposited into an on board removable debris tray as you push the sweeper.

The Theta is a super strong but light shot blasting sweeper magnet. It is the lightest continuous discharge sweeper of Bluestreak Equipment's continuous discharge models.
It is much lighter then most conventional sweepers at only 21 lbs. It is lighter weight because it uses super strong rare earth magnets for lifting power. Because the magnets are very strong there is no need for a huge, heavy magnet assembly. This lighter weight makes for less tiring work for anyone pushing the sweeper.
The super strong N42 rare earth magnets also have exceptional pickup power allowing the Theta to pick up 100% of steel shot out of cracks 1” deep. This allows you to thoroughly clean cracks and expansion joints which results in less shot showing up in the finished floor coating which has a direct effect on the quality of the finished floor. It can pick up shot from deeper cracks but gets a smaller percentage of it as the depth increases.
The Theta features Bluestreak’s patented Ripwhirl Technology to continuously clean shot off the magnetic drum as the drum rotates. The shot is automatically deposited into an on board removable debris tray as you push the sweeper.
The debris tray holds approximately 22 lbs of steel shot. Because the drum continuously cleans off the magnet, you always have full pickup strength increasing the effectiveness of shot pickup. This eliminates going over the same area multiple times to get all the shot.
Productivity is also greatly increased due to the elimination of the clean off and pickup efforts associated with conventional magnets allowing a 40% reduction in clean up time over conventional magnetic sweepers making it almost twice as fast.
On Board Debris Tray
Easily remove the on board debris tray and get rid of the shot that has been collected. It’s easy to see when the tray is full and when it’s full the handle is easy to grab and you just dump it into whatever you want. The debris tray holds approximately 22 lbs of steel shot.

Sealed Precision Bearing Wheels
The bearings in the wheels are sealed precision bearings. If you get shot or dust near the wheel area there is no way anything will get inside and nothing will get damaged. The wheels are made of soft non-marking Thermoplastic grey rubber so they won't leave any marks on floor surfaces.
Super Strong Rare Earth Magnets
The Theta uses N42 rare earth magnets that won’t lose their strength over time and are permanently charged. Because of the rare earth magnet power, the Theta picks up 100% of steel shot from 1″ below the wheels. This means it can pick up 100% of steel shot out of cracks 1″ deep. It can pick up shot from deeper cracks but gets a smaller percentage of it as the depth increases. This allows you to thoroughly clean cracks and expansion joints which results in less shot showing up in the finished floor coating which has a direct effect on the quality of the finished floor.

Works well, designed and made well; comes disassembled, went together in 30min with good instructions. Only downside/liability is the plastic cylinder critical to operation (mine came cracked 2″ on the edge, likely from a bump in shipping). The essence of the tool is this ribbed cylinder which is also the only non-metal part (except wheels and plastic rod sheaths under the removable tray. Cylinder could be damaged by something falling on it or an employee smacking it into an exposed bolt in the floor. Very expensive but saves from having to drop & pick up piles of steel shot. If it lasts forever it’ll be worth it as a necessary business tool; if I have to replace the cylinder I’ll wish I’d bought the all-metal BORA model.
The magnet has done a great job. Picks up shot, floor sweepings and dust and parts that have fallen on the floor that are scrap.
