Okay, we’re just demonstrating the Power Stick in and around areas that it was really designed for. Areas like this, with a lot of obstacles after a roofing job, are very hard to get at. The Power Stick’s very easy—it’s light, you can pick it up with one hand right from the end, but you can use it with two hands, and it just very easily gets around stuff like this. You can just quickly get in, pick up stuff, flip it over, getting it around some wires, in and around these antennas, and quickly get in and around things.
When you think you’ve got them all—and you think you’ve got them all—you can just get a container and just empty them off into the container or pick them up again, and that’s it.
Okay, this is a Power Stick. It’s light enough to be used with one hand or two. Just drag it across the ground, and it picks up the nails. That’s it. It’s pretty easy. Oh, got one nick there.
Once the Power Stick’s got nails all over the bottom like you can see, it’s still fairly easy to clean off even without gloves on. Just hold it like this, tip it over a pail, and you’re all set to go again.

This is the Blue Streak Power Stick magnetic sweeper. It’s one-piece aluminum construction. It’s a very strong design—it’s made one piece, with a handle coming out one side so it can get in and around stuff very well. If you drop some stuff onto your bench, this label works very well, where a wheel sweeper would have a real trouble getting in and around.
You can also see that it picks up filings—I’ve picked up a bunch of filings here—and to clean the sweeper off, you simply just wipe it off. And it’s got a very strong magnet too. You can see I got a—this is a piece of two and a half inch square steel tubing. So again, to clean it off, just wipe your hand off it. You should wear a glove when you do that.

The Powerstik Handheld Lightweight Magnetic Sweeper is extremely useful for detailed work where you need to pick up metal shavings or debris around the manufacturing shop floor and in and around machines.
It is ideal for roofers who need to pick up roofing nails in and around houses, flowerbeds or around air conditioning units.
These areas are often hard to reach with a regular block magnetic sweeper but with the Powerstik Handheld Lightweight Magnetic Sweeper’s ultra slim profile and hook design it’s easy. It can manoeuver around and under almost anything.
Although the magnet may not be as big as other magnetic sweepers that have a larger magnet housing, the pickup performance is still good because you can get very close to or right on top of the metal debris. The performance is better than its size might suggest.
Cleaning off debris from the Powerstik Handheld Lightweight Magnetic Sweeper is easy. Hold the magnet over a bin and clean it off in seconds with one swipe of your hand.
This is a Blue Streak Equipment Power Stick magnetic sweeper. It’s one-piece aluminum construction. It’s mandrel bent while the aluminum is soft, and then it’s hardened and anodized. It’s very sturdy construction.
This unit is designed with a hook so you can get in and around objects. For example, if you just completed a roof and you’re trying to pick up the metal debris that’s in and around stuff, you can just put the sweeper in and around your flower beds or beside your buildings and pick up all your nails.
That’s normally recommended to be done with a glove, but to clean it off, you can just swipe off the nails with your hand, put the glove on, and then put them in a scrap bin.
This unit works pretty good. It’s really heavy duty. It’s got a three-quarter inch square magnet inside. This is a one-inch aluminum housing. The magnet’s 12 inches wide.
This unit fits really well behind the seat of your tractor, in the box in your truck with your other tools. It doesn’t take up much room with a very narrow design.
To clean it off, simply wipe the metal debris off into a bin or something.

Such a useful tool! I got the basic version of the Powerstik to help cleanup nails roofers left behind from my house roof replacement. This magnet was particularly useful with getting in and around the landscaping. My 8 year old son used it extensively to pull nails out from the bushes in front of the house. He was so successful with it around one bush he named the bush the “lucky bush”. I was paying him $0.10 – $0.50 per nail so he was glad when I got this magnet since it netted him much more money than the smaller magnet on a stick I got from the local hardware store. important points to know is that this magnet has a field that is all around it instead of just one direction. This is key to picking up nails because it’s much more effective than a magnet that only points in one direction. The shape is good for getting into flower beds and narrow spots around the house. My only regret is not getting the stronger version as I think the distance those can pickup from would have made using this even more productive. That said, with this product it’s less about the distance of pickup and more about the ability to get into spaces that larger magnets can’t. The stick was light weight and easy to use so I have no complaints. For homeowners really looking to get all the nails left by roofers I think the right tools include something like this Powerstik plus a larger magnet on wheels like the Scape. I bought both from Bluestreak after I experienced the gaps in nail finding that cheaper less well designed magnets from the local hardware store had. Hope this review was helpful. If I had just bought the Bluestreak products first it would have saved me hours of effort.
