so this is a new style of bracket we’ve had. These hanging brackets have been out forever, like A and B and C—they’re all the same, sort of. But this one’s a bit different because now we have these actuators on the side. So this action is very similar to like our ISO magnets or the alpha, where you just stick a drill on this side. I can just show you.
So what this does for you is it allows you to adjust the height of the sweeper a lot easier. So instead of getting a guy to lift this thing up and then adjust the chains while he’s holding it, all you have to do is just stick your drill on here with your 13/16 socket. Not recommended to use an impact—we have, it’s not a great idea—but all you do is screw it up like this.
So once it’s at the height you want, or actually a little above the height you want, you would just undo these quick links and take or add or remove another link from it to get the height you want. And then you set it back down like this, so it’d be the same on the other side.
So when you get these all the way down—you see how loose this blue thing is? These should be holding the weight. The chain is supposed to be holding the weight, not this blue winch cable. But you do want a little bit of tension on it, so just go until you got a bit of tension, like that, and that just helps with stability, both side-to-side stability—you see this thing doesn’t move at all—and then also back and forth. And it also provides you extra support. You want them tight; you don’t want them really flopping around.
So it’ll be the exact same on this side, just to bring it up and down. There’s up, is reverse, adjust your chains, and then back down. And then you’ve got a little slack here—just crank her back up just a bit so you got some tension on.
