The Rhino Tow Behind Off-Road Magnetic Sweeper is a heavy duty off road trailer magnetic sweeper ready for harsh environments. It’s extremely simple in its design, making it very durable and a popular choice of many commercial type users with large dirt areas to clean including horse arenas and farms, construction sites, and smaller landfills.
It’s popular not only because of it’s simple and effective design but because it has loads of options and features – offered in three sweeping widths of five, six and seven feet wide and the ability to continuously adjust sweeping height from zero to five and a half inches.

The optional alumium quick clean off sleeve is available for all 4.5” x 4.5” magnets in lengths of 62, 74”, 86” and 98”. These sleeves are far stronger than the PVC models (SEE DURABILITY TEST HERE) and protect the magnet assembly from impacts. PVC sleeves can also deform from the pressure of collected debris being pulled towards the magnet housing making them hard to pull off. The aluminum sleeves will not deform and the plastic rails on the inner corners of the sleeve allow for smooth operation. An extendable stainless-steel handle is also stored inside the sleeve to make removing the sleeve even easier. The aluminum quick clean off sleeve is a great solution for rough terrains and prevents having to buy a new PVC sleeve every time it cracks from hitting obstacles in rough conditions.

The Rhino Tow Behind Off-Road Magnetic Sweeper, known as the “Big Brother” of the HOG magnetic sweeper, is ready for some very severe duty conditions with a range of options and great off road features.
It’s a popular choice of many commercial type users with large dirt areas to clean such as horse arenas and paddocks, cow pastures, construction sites, and smaller landfill sites.
The Rhino is ideal for keeping rough terrains and large areas free of dangerous metal debris because of it’s durable design, extra features. And because it’s light enough to attach to any vehicle it is a quick and easy method for reducing flat tires and accidents and preventing animal injuries.
Use the Rhino towable magnetic sweeper when a hanging sweeper would interfere with normal operation of the vehicle or when areas are too large to use a handheld sweeper.
The Rhino is offered in three sweeping widths of six, seven and eight feet wide and it comes standard with the ability to continuously adjust sweeping height from zero to five and a half inches.

Adjustable hitch height so that when hitching the Rhino Tow Behind Off-Road Magnetic Sweeper to a tow vehicle it doesn’t matter what height the hitch is on the tow vehicle, the Rhino can still be held level for optimum performance.
Use the adjustable top link (gold coloured) located at the top of the sweeper to continuously adjust the sweeping height from 0 to 5 and 1/2 inches. Just twist the top link to change the sweeping height. Changing the sweeping height allows fine tuning of performance on a variety of terrains and conditions for optimum performance.
The Rhino Tow Behind Off-Road Magnetic Sweeper’s magnets are housed in a 4.5″ x 4.5″ aluminum housing and is very strong because they are packed end to end un-spaced with a metal backing plate to increase the size of the magnetic field and direct it downwards to increase pickup performance. The magnets are well protected from damage and require no maintenance or recharging.

The optional Quick Clean Off Sleeve accessory makes cleaning off the magnet easy. Just slide the Sleeve off of the unit and debris falls to the ground at the end of the magnet.
The Sleeve also helps protect the sweeper housing when hitting hard surfaces. The Sleeve is constructed out of durable PVC and molded to wrap around the magnetic housing. It locks in place and will not move when the sweeper is in use.

The Debris Digging Rake accessory slips on over the tongue of the Rhino Tow Behind Off-Road Magnetic Sweeper and disturbs the ground so hidden or embedded debris surfaces and is picked up by the magnet. The tines are spring loaded to flex while disturbing the surface of the earth. Steel tube construction. Installs in less than 3 minutes. Grooms and levels the soil as you clean up debris.
The orange safety flags ensure high visibility when in use for increased safety. They are also a handy debris catching device. When the Quick Clean Off Sleeve is pulled off, the safety flags can be used as a convenient holder for the debris. Instead of debris falling onto the dirt a flag can be used to catch the debris.
The optional DDR XL is a heavier duty debris digging rake that deploys easier and faster than the original. The DDR XL has 5/16” inch diameter spring teeth that can dig into the ground to loosen up any embedded metal debris so it can be caught by the magnet behind the rakes. The DDR XL is available in 62”, 74”, 86” and 98” inch widths so it will work with many different sweepers. The DDR XL also leaves behind a groomed surface that serves as a visual cue of what areas have been swept already. Rubber stone guards deflect flying rocks that get thrown by spring teeth to prevent damage to nearby equipment and personnel.
An optional Debris Digging Rake accessory can be purchased for offroad magnetic sweeper trailers. The Debris Digging Rake (DDR) slips on over the tongue of a trailer and agitates the ground. The 0.215” diameter agricultural tines can be set to varying depths to disturb the ground ahead of the magnet to loosen up embedded and compacted debris so that the magnet can pick up the debris as it passes over the ground behind the debris digging rake. The distinctive pattern left by the DDR when it is digging is also great as a guide for the operator indicating areas that have already been swept for debris.

Works great at the Landfill.
Works Great ! I live on a gravel road that changes to dirt and have cleaned up a LOT of nails and pieces of old rusty wire. Have had lots of flat tires over the years as some vehicles go past my place on the way to the landfill and lose debris as they go by.
Removing self cleaning is terrible. Let me know when you have updated version.

I manage a construction & demolition debris transfer station. Nails and screws are a big problem for us and our customers because they wreak havoc on tires. We purchased a Rhino from Bluestreak is 2019. Previously we scoured the site with a 30″ wide push magnet. It was a chore that always fell to the bottom of the list because it was labor intensive. Now we tow the Rhino with a small tractor around our site several times a day. We are very impressed with its performance. We are continually amazed at the large volume at stray metal the Rhino picks up!
