The more off-road alternative to the Pyr Series magnetic sweeper. The Pyr and Eiger Series are quite similar but the Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper has two key differences;
1) the Eiger Series has more “off road” capable 10” x 3” wheels for the Eiger 4.5″ x 4.5″ or 8″ x 2.5″ for the Eiger 3″ x 3″ and those wheels are foam filled flat proof and most importantly wider so that they don’t sink into loose sand, soil, or gravel conditions so that the magnet is still protected from hitting the ground and
2) the minimum sweeping height of 2 1/2” for the Eiger 4.5″ x 4.5″ or 1 3/4″ for the Eiger 3″ x 3″ is higher (from magnet bottom to bottom of wheels) on the Eiger to provide more clearance to better accommodate uneven surfaces.

The optional aluminum quick clean off sleeve is available for all 4.5” x 4.5” magnets in lengths of 62, 74”, 86” and 98”. These sleeves are far stronger than the PVC models (SEE DURABILITY TEST HERE) and protect the magnet assembly from impacts. PVC sleeves can also deform from the pressure of collected debris being pulled towards the magnet housing making them hard to pull off. The aluminum sleeves will not deform and the plastic rails on the inner corners of the sleeve allow for smooth operation. An extendable stainless-steel handle is also stored inside the sleeve to make removing the sleeve even easier. The aluminum quick clean off sleeve is a great solution for rough terrains and prevents having to buy a new PVC sleeve every time it cracks from hitting obstacles in rough conditions.
The Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper utilizes permanently charged C8 Ceramic Magnets that will never need to be recharged to provide a strong magnetic field with a maximum lifting height of 9.25” inches for the Eiger 4.5″ x 4.5″ or 5.75″ inches for the Eiger 3″ x 3″ using a two and a half inch nail. Power will never decrease, ensuring years of use.

Sweeping height is adjustable. The Minimum sweeping height is 2.5” inches for the Eiger 4.5″ x 4.5″ and 1.75″ for the Eiger 3″ x 3″ with the bump wheels touching the ground. The recommended sweeping height for the Eiger 4.5″ x 4.5″ is 3” – 4” inches, with a maximum sweeping height of 5” inches. Magnet effectiveness will decrease as speed and sweeping height increase which is why we recommend a sweeping height of 3” to 4” inches if possible.
The recommended sweeping height for the Eiger 3″ x 3″ is 2.5″ inches and the maximum is 3″ inches. The “Wrap Around” magnet design ensures debris never gets wiped off the bottom of the magnet. You will also find in practice that most of the debris ends up on the back side of the magnet when operating at speed which gives you a good indication of why we have this feature.
The Eiger 4.5″ x 4.5″ 10”x3” foam filled bumper wheels with steel hubs and 5/8” ball bearings have a 136 kg (300 lbs) capacity (each) and ensure a consistent height off the ground is maintained when sweeping. They also help ensure the magnet does not hit the ground in the event of a bump, uneven ground surfaces or a compression of the vehicle suspension. The 8″ x 2.5″ wheels on the Eiger 3″ x 3″ have a capacity of 300 lbs each. To clean off the EIGER magnetic sweeper when full of debris, just remove the wheel on one end and pull off the black PVC Quick Clean Off Sleeve that comes standard on the EIGER. All of the debris will drop off on the side of the magnet that you pull the Sleeve off from. Clean off takes only seconds.
The EIGER is ideal front mounted under shunt trucks or yard trucks operating at trucking facilities with dirt or gravel yards. It’s also ideal mid-mounted under outdoor forklifts operating in dirt and gravel yards around manufacturing facilities. Also a great option for tractors operating in quasi commercial industrial operations like greenhouse environments, or under tractors or attached to grooming equipment at equine facilities, etc., to control metal debris.
The EIGER was designed specifically to pick up and remove debris that causes flat tires such as nails, screws, wire, discarded pieces of metal from fabrication activities, bolts, nuts, pins, miscellaneous metal pieces, etc. The EIGER is compact in size. Quick Clean Off Sleeve Demonstration
The Quick Clean Off Sleeve which comes standard with the Eiger allows for quick removal of debris even when the Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper is mounted under a vehicle.
The extruded black PVC Quick Clean Off Sleeve is 0.125″ thick, and the injection moulded ends are attached to the extruded sleeve by way of PVC cement. To clean the Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper off when full of debris, just remove one wheel, and pull off the Quick Clean Off Sleeve. All of the debris will drop off on the side of the magnet that you pull the Sleeve off from.
Clean off is easy, convenient, and simple.
The Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper has been designed in six different sweeping widths of 38”, 50”, 62”, 74”, 86”, 98” to accommodate many different vehicle sizes from small tractors to shunt and commercial trucks.
As a hanging magnet, the EIGER has no specific requirements of the vehicle to ensure FIT. You should however, take a look at the CAD files showing overall dimensions to ensure this will work with your intended vehicle and the anticipated mounting position.
The EIGER can be front, mid or rear mounted on a variety of vehicles as long as enough clearance and space is present.
The Eiger comes standard with a durable Quick Clean Off Sleeve for easy removal of debris. Also comes standard with 4 hanging chains and 8 quick clips for hanging the EIGER. Each hanging chain is 12” inches long (not including the quick clip on each end).
Additional hanging chains can purchased if you wish to add more hanging chains to prevent magnet swinging.

The Eiger 3″ x 3″ will pick up a 2.5″ nail when the bottom of the magnet is 5.75″ off the ground. The recommended sweeping height is 2.5″ and the maximum sweeping height is 3″ for the Eiger 3″ x 3″.
The Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper magnet is completely enclosed, and the replaceable black PVC Quick Clean Off Sleeve further protects the magnet by taking all of the wear and tear of everyday use.
The Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper is designed as an all terrain magnet which means it is designed with our “Wrap Around” feature.
The “Wrap Around” feature ensures debris never gets wiped off the bottom of the magnet. The debris that slides off the bottom just snaps onto the back of the magnet.
In practice most of the debris that is picked up ends up on the back side of the magnet when operating at speed which gives you a good indication of why we have this feature.
The Eiger Hanging Wheeled Magnetic Bar Sweeper has bump wheels that are designed to hang slightly above the ground, but protect the magnet from hitting the ground when the vehicle suspension compresses or if there are bumps or potholes in the road.
The protective bump wheels allow you to hang the magnet lower for better performance than would be possible without bump wheels.

This wheel kit replaces the standard wheel and axle bolt assembly. The 8” inch wheel fits 3” x 3” inch models, and the 10” inch wheel fits 4.5” X 4.5” magnetic sweeper models. This wheel is an upgrade that is built of stronger materials that can withstand more abuse in on and offroad settings. The sealed highspeed bearings keep dirt out so the polyurethane tread wheels can spin smoothly. The bearings and wheels are resistant to damage from impacts at speed so if the sweeper is expected to withstand heavy use in rough conditions this wheel will last longer and perform better than the standard option.
