Sokoke 92 Debris Digging Rake

Okay, so this is how you deploy the debris digging rake system.

All there is on the front of these is there’s three little bars here that hold up the rakes, and it’s just a cotter pin holding a tractor pin in there.

All you gotta do is, with the bucket slightly raised, pull the pin out, drop them down to the third pin setting—which will be the deepest digging—put that back in, and repeat on the other side.

What that’s going to let you do is kick up anything that’s slightly embedded in the soil, and because we’re at a landfill here, lots of traffic—and lots of traffic means that you are gonna get all your metal debris kind of stuck in the ground.

So, we ran around for about five minutes without the rakes down, and now that we have the rakes down, we’re going to go around again and see what the result is.

With these rakes down, you’re going to be digging up a lot more of the ground and hopefully getting any of the stuck debris out of it, and you can see these things are really getting into the ground.

It leaves a nice little trench of groomed area, so it helps flatten out the surface a little bit, but it also really makes a difference with digging—kicking up any debris that’s stuck there.
