The Atmos Continuous Discharge Shotblasting Magnet is specifically designed for heavy use on large areas by shotblasters who need to pick up steel shot of all sizes. The Atmos is designed with Bluestreak’s patented Ripwhirl Technology to continuously clean shot off its magnetic drum and deposit the shot into an onboard removable debris tray as you push the sweeper.
Because the drum continuously cleans off the magnet, you always have full pickup strength increasing the effectiveness of shot pickup. The magnetic drum features a new durable one piece extruded PVC design for long lasting wear.
The Atmos features a flexible design. It easily converts from a tow behind magnet to a push type magnet simply by flipping the handle. Tow the Atmos behind vehicles and equipment to cover a lot of ground faster. Or push the Atmos by hand like a regular push type magnet.

A: Rubberized damping blocks reduce vibration and clatter while sweeping on rougher surfaces
Okay, so here’s an update video on the Atmos magnetic sweeper. This is a continuous discharge shot blast cleanup magnet that has been around for a long time.
We’ve recently made some updates to it and also developed a second ceramic-powered version of it.
So, the Atmos now has these rubber bumpers on the debris bins, which just prevent it from rattling around while you’re pushing it, because they made a lot of noise before.
As well as the updated debris bin bumpers, the Atmos also has a new drive system, so it’s just got some new parts in it. They operate essentially the same as the old one, but they’re just updated.
So it’s got the same clutched drive wheels as our other larger continuous discharge magnets, which allow you to do pivot turns like that.
So this being the rare earth version, it’s a lot lighter than the Photon, where the Photon weighs about 200 pounds or 190. This thing weighs about 120 pounds, so that makes it a lot easier to manage around the job site—moving between sites, loading into a truck, or just pushing it around. You’ll generally feel less mass moving and you don’t have to fight against as much.
But with this sweeper and the rare earth magnets that it comes with, what that gives you is a uniform strength across the entire sweeping width. So, compared to the Photon that has two concentrated points of power across the sweeping width, the Atmos is uniform all the way across and slightly stronger than the ceramic magnets. So these rare earth magnets will pull shot from an inch and three-quarters from any control joint or crack or anything like that, and it’ll do that across any point of sweeping width, which allows for a lot more easier operation. You don’t have to worry about where your magnet is positioned; you just kind of walk around and go.
So, obviously, this being a continuous discharge magnet, that thin PVC drum on there is always taking the shot that’s collected and throwing it into the debris bins, which leaves the magnet at full power all the time.
So each debris bin will hold 42 pounds of shot; there’s two of them on the front, which gives you 84 pounds, and that can be doubled up by adding two more bins that we sell separately onto the top rails of the sweeper.
So, the Atmos, of course, can be converted into a towable magnet, which allows you to tow it with a golf cart or a small tractor, or an ATV, or whatever you have on site, just with a little pin hitch. And that makes operation, obviously, a lot faster. All you’d have to do at that point, other than driving around, is just make sure the debris bins are not overflowing and clean it off eventually.
Yeah, this magnet is also all aluminum construction, very heavy duty. The caster wheel on the front has a 500-pound load capacity, and the two non-marking wheels on the sides have 750 pounds of load capacity each, and they all have sealed precision bearings, which allow you to prevent any shot or metal dust from getting inside the bearings and ensure a long service life.
This is really the premium thing on the market for any kind of shot blast cleanup or surface prep cleanup—the fastest thing you can get to do it. For a job site this size, this will cover the whole area in the span of maybe 15 minutes if you wanted to.
So, again, all the parts are available on our website, and this is the Atmos magnet.
Continuously cleans shot off the magnetic drum and deposits shot into an on board removable debris tray as you push the sweeper.
Easy to use and operate
There is a real improvement experienced by the operator because there is not as much bending over involved. Each of the 2 trays hold 42 lbs of shot, it’s easy to see when the tray is full. When it’s full the handle is easy to grab and you just dump it into whatever you want.
The sweepers are so easy to use that it turns an undesirable job into one that no one minds doing. It’s like using a power circular saw versus a handsaw.
Two tray collection system
Each of the 2 trays hold approximately 42 lbs of steel shot allowing you to go further before emptying the trays.
Purchase 2 additional trays as an accessory to make a total of 4 trays to extend your sweeping time before having to empty the tray.
The Atmos Continuous Discharge Magnetic Sweeper comes with two removeable debris bins that hold 42 lbs of shot each for a total of 84lbs of shot carrying capacity. This capacity can be doubled by purchasing additional debris bins that ride on the top aluminum rails of the sweeper’s chassis. Once these debris bins are full they can be removed from the sweeper and dumped back into a shot blaster’s hopper. No more bending over to sweep up after flip up magnets, just pull the bins and keep blasting. This video shows the clean-off process.
Okay, so this is how you clean out the Atmos magnetic sweeper. Once these bins, which have 42 pounds of capacity, are full—in this case, they’re not obviously—but once they’re full, you pull them out of the sweeper like that, and then you can easily just dump it right back into the machine and keep blasting. So they just come out off these rails, they’re full of the shot you’ve collected, pick them up, dump them back out into the machine.
You can reuse this shot pretty much until it disintegrates, so this is a way to be a lot less wasteful when doing surface prep.
The Atmos Continuous Discharge Shotblasting Magnet is a push type magnet and tow behind magnetic sweeper in one package. It easily converts from one to the other by simply flipping the handle.
A: 500 lbs capacity front caster wheel with sealed precision bearings
B: Two removeable debris trays with 42 lbs of shot capacity each and space for two more trays to double carrying capacity
C: Non-marking thermoplastic clutched drive wheels with 750 lbs capacity sealed precision bearings
Increase Your Productivity.
The Atmos Continuous Discharge Shotblasting Magnet cleans up the same size of area faster than a traditional magnetic sweeper. Real world comparisons show that the Atmos is 5 times faster at cleaning up shot than a traditional sweeper.
The Atmos Continuous Discharge Shotblasting Magnet picks up 100% of steel shot from 1 3/4″ below the wheels, that means it can pick 100% of steel shot from out of cracks 1 3/4″ deep. It can pick up shot from deeper cracks but gets less and less of it as the depth increases. This allows you to thoroughly clean out cracks and expansion joints which results in less shot showing up in the finished floor coating which has a direct effect on the quality of the finished floor.
A: Durable bolted and welded aluminum construction is non-magnetic so shot stays where you want it
B: High impact PVC finned drum takes shot from magnetic field and deposits it into debris bins

Because the Atmos can collect steel shot material with a large width, it cleans perfectly when used for finishing the road surface where shot blasting has been completed.
The location of the video and pictures is the reconstruction of the Sanriku district in Iwate Prefecture that was destroyed by the tsunami in the March 2011 great East Japan earthquake. We made a new road and scooped out a construction that shot blasts beautiful stones. The Bluestreak sweeper was active in this construction.
Thank you for your top-notch after-sales support. Please see below our video about our shotblasting machine. It also contains footage from our sweeper.
